Tools of the Trade: PowerPoint, Audio Management, video Management
and Internet Management. This presentation will focus on using
PowerPoint as a non-linear multimedia management tool. Learn
how to capture, edit, re-mix, and burn your old cassettes and
records, and then record them to CD/DVD. Capture video from VHS,
DVD, and analog or digital cameras, etc., and burn them to video.
Capture internet sites via Internet Explorer or WebWacker. |
p.m. Tour Fort Clatsop-Register
at Astoria High School first.
Located 5 miles south of Astoria, Fort Clatsop commemorates
the 1805-1806 winter encampment of the Lewis & Clark Expedition.
After an orientation by the park ranger, participants will
explore the replica of the fort, the canoe landing, and the
trails of native plants.
After this session travel directly to the Seaside Convention
Center. |

These presenters bring book repair to an art form. They cover
the selection of books for in-house repair and introduce book
structure and repair materials. Participants are encouraged
to bring a stack of books from their own library for repair.
- Topics covered will include:
- Cloth
spin repair will be demonstrated.
- tightening and repairing hinges
- tipping pages
- consolidating frayed corners
- discuss cleaning soiled books
Adhesives, papers, and cloth will be provided as well as instructional
handouts and contact list of resources for repair materials.
