Recognize and use appropriate geographic tools and technology (e.g. maps, globes, graphs, diagrams, aerial and other photographs and satellite-produced images) to answer geographic questions, analyze spatial distributions and patterns and solve geographic problems. Select appropriate information resources and technology as tools to answer geographic questions, analyze spatial distributions and patterns and solve geographic problems. Uses information effectively and creatively . . .

1. organizes information for practical application;
2. integrates new information into one's own knowledge;
3.applies information in critical thinking and problem solving;
4. produces and communicates information and ideas in appropriate formats.

Uses maps to organize information about people, places and environments in a spatial context. Use maps in a variety of information formats to organize information.
